We’ve officially finished our first week of ministry here in Guatemala! And wow it was so sweet!! We’re working with a ministry here called Oneway. They work with kids through teaching, soccer, VBS activities, and we’ve also been visiting the parents of the kids we’ve been teaching.

A word that comes to mind when I think of this week is innocent love. These children love SO WELL! Each day we show up, we are greeted with sweet little hugs from every child. Their big smile’s immediately turn my day around. We get the opportunity to teach them English and play LOTS of soccer which is so fun! I forgot how fun soccer is especially with little kids who just think you’re hilarious whenever you kick the ball. Their little giggles are so precious.

We’ve also been doing some house visits here going to the families of the students houses. We’ve been so blessed by each encounter. The people here are so generous. They always rush to make sure we ALL have a place to sit and typically something to eat or drink as well. They are so kind!

We ended our week with squad church in the bedroom last night. During this, we did worship and then an activity where we had time to process something that the Lord had been speaking to us. We each wrote this on a little notecard. Each notecard had a number on the back and prior to this activity, our leader assigned a number to each of our names. Then, we grabbed the card that had our name on it and got to process whatever was written on it. On the card I wrote, the Lord was speaking to me about relying more on him fully for my future and he gave me this image of a little girl holding her dad’s hand like God and I. The card I received, was a drawing of a big hand holding a little hand (like zoomed in of what I drew). On the description, it said that God was my gentle guide and he wanted me to be at peace in the season he’s put me in right now. This was SO COOL because God was definitely confirming what he was also speaking to me through the card I had written for someone else. God is so incredible in the ways he speaks to us. Sometimes all it takes is just a moment to step back and listen to what he is saying!

Guys i’ll be home in like three weeks already! I can’t wait to experience the last few weeks w these precious people here but I also am so anticipating life back home as well! God is doing so much here and back home! ❤️❤️❤️

Prayer Requests:

My health/headaches

Strength to finish ministry strong!

Patience as I surrender what my future season will look like back home!
