7am – breakfast
7:30-8:30am – dishes/cleanup
9-1pm – morning ministry ( house visits or teaching in schools )
1-2pm – lunch break
2-4:30pm – afternoon ministry ( either more teaching or soccer!! )
5-6pm – showers
6-7pm- dinner
7:30-9:30pm – team time
10pm – lights out!
We have this schedule from Monday-Thursday every week! Friday, we clean up the house and reset as we head into the weekend. Then Saturday, we get the opportunity to go out and explore and then Sunday is our sabbath!! 🤍
Spending so much time with children here has been such a blessing but I won’t lie and say that it’s not exhausting. Each day carries its own challenges as well as blessings. Children are so so precious to Jesus and I can see why. They carry an innocent joy and curiosity that most lose when they grow up. It’s sweet to be able to feel their love even through the language barrier.
Now, I wanna share a little testimony!! So as some of you may have seen on my social media, a sweet little girl named Hannah Grace went missing on Sunday. Hannah Grace is the daughter of a man that we work with weekly as he runs one of the ministries we have been a part of. His name is Harry. Harry and Hannah have the most precious relationship. After we met them, lots of us left his place saying that their relationship reminded us of how God loves his children— so tenderly and without restraint. This past Monday, we got news that Hannah had gone missing and hadn’t been seen since Sunday. This was heartbreaking to hear, not knowing where this precious child was— whom we just spent time with a few days prior playing barbie’s with having no apparent thought of not seeing her again. It shook us up for sure. We spent lots of time in prayer and asking God why this would happen to someone so innocent and young. On Wednesday night, we got news that Hannah had been found— alive— and nine hours away! She was to be reunited with Harry as soon as possible. This was the biggest relief to hear. Not only was Hannah miraculously found alive but the fact that she was taken nine hours away and somehow managed to be taken to authorities and reunited with her family so soon after. God had eyes on her through all of it. We don’t know many details of what happened but God is so faithful and we know he has the hands to restore all things. Please be in prayer for this family as they begin to heal from this horrible situation and just are showered in peace as they have been reunited all together once again. Even through the toughest of situations, God is in the midst working all things out for good. He doesn’t leave his people astray nor does his power ever dwindle out. This situation opened my eyes to how powerful prayer is because our God listens. He cares. He is ALIVE and nothing can change the work that his will desires.
Something that I have been struggling with here as we close out our time in Guatemala is just anticipation of going home. We only have two more weeks of ministry here and then we head back to the U.S on the 18th! It’s hard to not be so excited for this and still be present in the moment here. God has been reminding me that his timing is perfect. Every moment ahead of me, he has already prepared. I’ve been working on resting in that peace and seeking him before I seek what’s ahead of me. It is a hard thing to do but the more I seek him, the less my future has to do with me and the more I am able to leave it all in his hands and know that his plan is SO MUCH BETTER!!
I’m so so very grateful that Hannah was found and okay and reunited with her family. God was definitely looking with her and kept her safe. 🙏🏼🥹

Truly God is so good! And YES, He surely answers prayers. He wants to see us have faith and pray and then leave the results to Him.
You mentioned the joy you see in the kids during ministry and that’s a word that I would use to describe YOU. You carry the Joy of the Lord and it’s contagious. I’m blessed to witness everything that the Lord is doing and what he’ll continue to do in and through you sweet Stella!!
